Reflections . . .
I know a good many of my readers personally, and yet I'm often flattered beyond believe about the kind words they have to say about my books. I've changed jobs a couple of times as a nurse practitioner, and while I didn't have nearly as much time as I'd hoped when working in a rural emergency department, I'm still writing. It feels terrific to know people are talking about my books, and that many of them are waiting, maybe not so patiently, for the next one. I am working on the tentative "Dreams of Like Souls." I hesitate to even give a clue for the sake of those who haven't finished the first four, but it's currently not narrated by Julie as the previous four were.
One person so far has mentioned wanting a character named after them. I'm always happy to see what I can do, so if that is something YOU have wanted to do, send me a Facebook Message. You never know when I just need a new character or name.
I'm back in my hometown working at a family practice clinic, and I really love being able to participate in the healthcare of my patients. I have a terrific new family of coworkers who all feel the same about what we do, and while I haven't had to call for a helicopter to transfer a patient out in months, i.e. my job is not quite so intense, I'm very happy with it.
It's Thanksgiving, and I'm thankful for my husband, my home, my career, my family and friends, my freedoms and those who give and have given so much to protect them.
It's a great day to have a great day.
